The five-member group, The Boss (Mika, Karam, Hyunmin, Injun, Jay), has successfully made their first Korean concert appearance in two years.

On September 14, The Boss received a warm welcome from the audience at the Hallyu drama concet, “K-Drama Awards with Oh Joon Sung” at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul.

The Boss performed “Stand By Me” from the “Boys Over Flowers” OST and “Angel” from the “Haru” OST, with a large-scale, sixty-member orchestra. Their skilled, live performance was warmly received by the audience. After the concert, The Boss held a surprise fan meeting with their Korean and Japanese fans.

Previously, The Boss announced its agency change from Open World Entertainment to Poom Entertainment.

Poom Entertainment is home to the veteran balladeer, Jo Sung Mo. Along with the news of this change, The Boss also revealed that they will be releasing a new album in early November.

In the past, the Boss was forced to stop activities after the controversy regarding Open World Entertainment’s CEO.

Poom Entertainment’s Park Heng Ryul CEO stated, “We will offer our full support to spread out the talents and charms of The Boss through their promotions and various concerts,” and “Starting with activities in Korea, The Boss will also be promoting in Japan, China and the rest of the Asian market.”

The Boss also commented, “We will show you our hard-working efforts with a heart of starting brand new in this new place,” and “We still lack in many ways but we will make efforts to reach a higher dream.”

The Boss debuted in 2010 and won the Rookie Award at the 20th Seoul Gayo Awards. Since they weren’t active in Korea last year, they have been actively promoting in Japan.
