Super Junior‘s Choi Siwon will be returning to the Chinese big screen for the first time in seven years.
Choi Siwon is currently filming “Helios,” which was originally called “Equator,” in China along with actor Ji Jin Hee. The two have recently been spotted in Hong Kong together on their way to the film set.
“Helios” is an action thriller about terrorists who steal an atomic weapon that was being developed in South Korea. Choi Siwon plays a Korean police offier who chases down the terrorists while Ji Jin Hee plays a scientist. Xueqi Wang, who was in “Iron Man 3” and Jacky Cheung is also cast for this film.
“Helios” directors Sunny Luk and Longman Leung worked together in the past for the film “Cold War,” which was chosen to be screened at the Busan International Film Festival last year. The public is highly anticipating “Helios” for its high quality cast and crew.
Choi Siwon has already earned much fame in China and the rest of Asia as a Super Junior member. Seven years ago, he debuted on the big screen in China through “Battle of Wits.”
