Wheesung has chosen his first TV appearance since his military discharge in August to be KBS’ singing competition, “Immortal Song 2.”
Wheesung will be filming for the Yim Jae Bum special of “Immortal Song 2″ on October 14, announcing his come back to the K-Pop world to all the viewers. He doesn’t have any plans to release an official album yet but this is already becoming a hot topic since it will be his first time singing in front of the viewers and the audience since his military service came to an end.
Because this episode will be featuring Yim Jae Bum’s songs, it is reported that the show tried to gather many of the top vocalists of the industry. Many are curious as to how the others will compete against Wheesung’s explosive vocals.
Wheesung was enlisted into the army on November of 2011. After 21 months of service, he was discharged on August 9 of this year. His military life was briefly shown on the MBC variety program, “Real Men.”
He ran into a bit of trouble during his military service with propofol accusations and doing time in the military prison for using his personal cell phone. However, he was discharged without any other setbacks and commented, “I will pay you back with good music. Thank you so much for waiting,” and “I am planning on working on some new music at the time. I don’t know when a new album will be released but I ask that you send your support.”
