The members of T-ara, who recently came back with their new mini album “Again,” has opened up about their feelings towards malicious comments.

On October 14, the girl group met with the press to discuss the past year that they have spent out of the spotlight.

Member Soyeon said, “We do not think negatively of the past year. If we had not gone through those events, we would have lived immaturely like many at that age do. Of course we could have chosen to just be arrogant, but after experiencing those harmful things, we started to look back to everything we had forgotten. People who were there for us, who worked together with us, our family, and our fans. We did not realize the preciousness of the stage. Naturally we knew it, but we had no time to think about it, or to be thankful for it. Probably, because of this, we feel like we can show a more mature performance through this comeback.”

Boram explained how they have changed, “Previously, we read all the comments very carefully, but now we just scan through them. Now we only look for positive ones, whereas before we only saw the negative things. There are some malicious comments that make us realize something important, and in those cases we do not think badly of them. We think ‘Oh, these are my problems. I should try to fix them,’ and try to improve ourselves. Extremely hurtful and evil comments used to make us cry in the past, by now we are okay. Instead of getting hurt, we now feel like we benefit and learn a lot from the negative words.”

Recently, T-ara prepared a snack truck for their fans who came to watch the group’s performance on SBS’ Inkigayo. The girls commented, “We have gained some new fans. Honestly, we now have a different understanding of how precious the fans are. Our relationship is much deeper and more resistant. We receive a lot from them, so we want to give something in return. While eating ddeokbokki (spicy rice cakes), we chatted with our fans like normal people. We find our bond stronger now.”

The girl group is currently promoting their double title tracks “No.9” and “I Know the Feeling” after making their long-awaited comeback on October 10.
