Boy Group A.Cian has undergone a member shake-up after successive members withdrew from the group.

According to their agency ISS Entertainment on October 29, “A.Cian’s Se Hee, Crooge and Seulgi left the group, and new members Hidden, Jung Sang and Jin.O were recruited. The new members and existing members U Tae, Chan Hee and Sanghyun will form a six-membered group and are planning to release a digital single in November.”

A.Cian debuted as a five-membered group (consisting of Seulgi, Chan Hee, Crooge, Se Hee and Sanghyun) in September 2012 with mini-albums “Stuck” and “Hit,” and title tracks of the same name. While U Tae became the group’s sixth member in March this year, original member Crooge officially withdrew from the group in the integration process, with Se Hee following after him and leader Seulgi deciding to focus to acting.

ISS Entertainment revealed that A.Cian was working on its follow-up single in May when main vocalist Se Hee suddenly decided to withdraw from the group, bringing to a halt to their broadcast and performance activities.

“Se Hee was a member who had many problems, often going missing from the waiting room at broadcast and performance activities without notice. We are taking legal action against him. It’s stated in the contract that if one party unilaterally breaks the contract, that party has to pay a penalty for breach of contract, but we’re not after that. Our case is strongly tilted to our side.”

The agency further added, “There are groundless rumors going around mainly through SNS, and we are planning to respond strongly to them.”

The current A.Cian consists of oldest U Tae, new leader Chan Hee, vocalist and rapper Sanghyun, rapper Hidden, vocalist Jung Sang and maknae Jin.O. A.Cian will release a new digital single in November. ISS appealed to fans by saying, “We definitely suffered losses from members dropping out, but this time A.Cian is back with a stronger team. Please support their future activities.”

Kim Bo Min, who has in the past worked for shows such as “Golden Bell” and “Morning Forum,” recently revealed the harsh reality of earning a living as an announcer.

In the October 30 episode of KBS2 “Mamma Mia,” the announcer representing the same broadcast company expressed how precious she finds 100,000 Korean won (~100 US dollars).

According to her, she gets paid 5,000-8,000 KRW ( 5-8 USD) for every radio show appearance, and 20,000 KRW (20 USD) for filming a television show. As if this is not shocking enough by itself, the announcer added, “100,000 KRW can end up being an announcer’s monthly salary. After wrapping up the filming of a show, I can’t help but think ‘I just earned enough money to buy me a cup of coffee.’”

During the show, Kim Bo Min also shared a hilarious episode that is proof of the hectic nature of her occupation. She said, “Once I had to hurriedly eat my meal before going on air, so while filming the news I felt food come up to my nasal cavity. After filming was over, kimchi and ham came out when I blew my nose.”

After receiving much love for his roles in various dramas such as “Baker King Kim Tak Gu,” “Seventh Level Civil Servant” and most recently, “Good Doctor,” Joo Won will once again aim to shake up females’ hearts through this new movie.

In “Catch Me,” Joo Won plays Lee Ho Tae, an elite profiler, who meets his first love Yoon Jin Sook (played by Kim Ah Joong), who is a legendary thief.

For this still, Joo Won and Kim Ah Joong display their good looks as they go on a date together. Kim Ah Joong has a mysterious and faraway expression while Joo Won seems to be happily chatting away next to her, which raises much curiosity about the film.

Kim Hyun Joong has announced his departure from the variety program “Barefoot Friends.”

On October 31, Key East reps spoke with TV Report and said, “Due to scheduling conflicts with Kim Hyun Joong’s drama, he will need to step down from SBS’ ‘Barefoot Friends.’ He recently finished his last filming for the show.”

In order to film for the upcoming KBS drama, “Age of Feeling” (or “Inspiring Generation“), Kim Hyun Joong will be leaving for China in November so it would be hard for him to film “Barefoot Friends” at the same time. After discussing it with the variety show’s production team, it was decided that he would drop out.

Key East also added, “The filming for ‘Barefoot Friends’ that took place on October 27 was Kim Hyun Joong’s last one,” and “He is preparing to show better sides of himself through the upcoming drama.”

Meanwhile, it is reported that Kim Hyun Joong’s successor for “Barefoot Friends” has not yet been decided. Other than Kim Hyun Joong, Yoon Shi Yoon and Uee are also about to start new dramas, which has created talk about them leaving the show as well.

On October 30, a particular news agency reported, “The five father and son pairs will be stepping down from the show and the production team is working on recruiting new celebrities and their children for a second season.”

But the production team commented, “We have not even held a meeting to discuss possible new cast members. We also have not even discussed having a ‘graduation’ system for the current cast.” However, they did state that they are positively reviewing the need for a second season.

On October 29, JYP reps spoke with Star News and said, “A new seven-member idol boy group is planning to debut,” and “The goal for their debut is in January of next year.”

The reps also stated, “You can call them the second 2PM,” but did not further comment on specific concepts or members.

The JYP Entertainment reps also carefully commented on the future of JJ Project, JYP’s male duo that debuted in 2012.

“The members for the seven-member boy group have not been confirmed yet,” and “It hasn’t been decided whether the JJ Project members will join the new group. The final decision will be made in December,” they said.

On October 27, Kim Yoo Jung’s Facebook announced that the music video will be released at midnight on October 28. However, nothing was uploaded and curiosity levels ran even higher.

Then on October 28, Kim Yoo Jung posted on her SNS account, “What is gonig on? I know people must have waited a lot for Kim Yoo Jung and Xiumin’s music video…”

She continued, “I hear that the teaser and making on air clip has been pushed back a day. The video is going through some final editing, which is why it is not getting released on the planned date,” and “Please don’t be upset and wait a little longer.”

On October 28, a teaser clip was finally revealed and the artist of the music video was announced to be a Woollim Entertainment singer, Jin. The title of the track is “Only You Are Not Here” (working title) and the clip gives us a taste of Jin’s pure and emotional voice.

The clip shows Xiumin in what looks like a strict, wealthy and groomed upbringing. However, his boyish curiosity and charms can be evident through his encounters with Kim Yoo Jung. The teaser clip foreshadows a cute, young love but with a sad and heartbreaking twist.

On the news of 4Men’s contribution to the drama’s OST, many have expressed their anticipation for the new song as the vocal group had previously sang OSTs for such hit dramas as “Secret Garden,” “Bridal Mask,” and “The Gu Family Book.”

“Thorn Love” portrays the story of Empress Ki who looks strong on the outside, but carries many scars in her heart. Part of the lyrics include, “I also think I’m going to go crazy because of my thorn-like self,” illustrating a song that pierces the depths of the heart.

Accompanying the members on his final holiday to Jeju, Joo Won said his farewells to the cast. All the members were in tears, unable to look one another in the eyes as Joo Won gave his farewell speech.

Said the actor, “I think the sole reason I was able to do the show for a year and eight months was because of (you) hyungs,” “Just coming and listening to (you) hyungs’ talking was interesting and made me laugh, I was very happy. This was definitely one of the pleasures in my life.”

“What made me able to endure doing movies and dramas and so on, was the fact that once every two weeks, I’d be able to go away on vacation to meet you guys, and we’d play and joke with one another.”

Joo Won added, “It’s not like I won’t see you guys forever, but still, I’m really sad. I always say this, but (you) hyungs are a reassuring source of support.”

Joo Won had previously revealed in an interview with reporters, “The hyungs are funny, and I’m the only one who can’t seem to play my role well,” “Without me, I don’t know if the program will do well or not,” “Would it be more interesting with someone else instead of me?,” and “I worried about things like this endlessly.”

SHINee’s Jonghyun reveals his thoughts after the incident regarding wireless phone penalties, where he had publicly lashed out at a new law banning the use of wireless home phones on his Twitter account.

Jonghyun appeared on SBS Power FM’s “Cultwo Show” on October 24, alongside his fellow SHINee members, and referred to his tweets on the wireless home phone penalties becoming a hot topic.

He explained, “The day after expressing my opinions on Twitter about the penalties regarding wireless home phones, the $1884 fine disappeared.”

Jonghyun added, “But I don’t think the change was because of me. It had appeared on the news the previous day so I think many knew about it as well. After I posted on Twitter, many of the younger kids also came to know about the fine.”

The Cultwo hosts asked Jonghyun if he planned to enter politics, to which, Jonghyun replied, “No, it’s fine. I want to continue being a singer,” arousing laughs from all around.

During the radio broadcast, Taemin’s lips were ranked number one for blowing kisses, leading Cultwo’s radio host Jung Chan Woo compliment Taemin on having pretty lips.

KBS 2TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Secret” released these behind-the-scenes cuts from filming on October 24, with Bae Soo Bin (who plays Do Hoon) and Ji Sung (who plays Min Hyuk) wearing mischievous expressions and adopting matching poses for this set of pictures. The two showed off their closeness which is the opposite of their characters in the drama.

“Secret” recently aired its ninth episode on October 23, where Min Hyuk began to suspect Do Hoon and there was lots of dramatic tension in the air. The preview for the following episode on October 24 showed Min Hyuk revealing his feelings to Yoo Jung (Hwang Jung Eum).

During a photo shoot where Han Seung Yeon and Lee Min Ki were posing as a couple, when the photographer asked for a more romantic pose, the singer suddenly gave Lee Min Ki a back-hug and apparently surprised many people on the set.

Cable channel tvN “Grandpa Over Flowers Actress Special” is currently in the process of filming in Croatia. The whole crew, including PD Na Young Suk, went to Croatia earlier this month to survey shooting locations as well make a rough sketch for the special. Last weekend, actresses Yoon Yeo Jung, Kim Ja Ok, Kim Hee Ae, and Lee Mi Yeon and the camera crew concluded their first filming for the special.

The “Actress Special” will showcase the travels of the four actresses. Following in the footsteps of actor Lee Seo Jin, singer and actor Lee Seung Gi will be taking on the post of “Young Luggage Boy,” and will hopefully inject a fresh take on things. He will begin his filming actively from the beginning of next month. “Grandpas Over Flowers” enjoyed sensational popularity, and this special edition will benefit not just from that reputation, but also the fact that cast of the “Actress Edition” rarely appear on variety shows. It became known that the starting point is Spain, and this has spurred public interest in the special edition.

In the preview for the “Grandpas Over Flowers” special edition, resident Grandpas Lee Soon Jae, Shin Gu, Park Geun Hyung, and Baek Il Sub revealed their different charms and sensitivities.
